Presidents Welcome

Season 2015

Dear Member,

Welcome to our 2015 season and another year of netball with Victoria State Connected Netball Club and an especially warm welcome to newcomers.

Last year was a successful for the club. We fielded a total of 8 teams between Plenty Valley Netball Association, Diamond Valley Netball as well as the a total of 88 players.

All of our teams achieved making it through to the finals for the year and going on to be runners up as well as their division premiers. We are sure this success will continue throughout 2015 as our club continues to attract new members and grow strong with each team’s enthusiasm.

We are currently working with Hume Council and Netball Victoria to provide quality courts; courts for lower and higher hoops and flood lights for night training - See link from Hume Leader on the Selwyn Ave page

Also Craigieburn Tennis club is supporting our cause to develop the Selwyn Ave Courts.

For 2015 we are introducing some exciting new developments:

  • Expansion of senior teams with new initiatives for parents and player relatives.

  • Netball Clinics

  • Clubrooms at the Tennis Club

  • More Coaching Staff to assist Head Coach

We have recently been successful in being awarded a grant from Vic Health for $2,350 and sponsorship from Craigieburn Sports Club for $500. This will enable us to purchase Netball sporting equipment and Netball Uniforms for the club

Vic State Connected Netball’s website should become a point of reference for players, parents, coaches and managers.  It will grow to become a significant communication tool between the club and its members.  Please also refer to the ‘VSCHandbook’ online which outlines all the information you will need to know.

We wish you all the best for an exciting and enjoyable season of netball

Donna McConnell
